Cook Operator
- 8% holiday pay and a 3% year‑end bonus
- A quarterly bonus if you have no sick days
- You can train in-house to become an all-round operator
As an operator at Van Geloven you’ll work with colleagues to produce the tastiest snacks. You’ll be working in our cooking department, handling meat and making the doughs and ragouts. In this role you carry out various manual processes. Think of the following tasks:
- Ensure quality and safety;
- Unpack meat;
- Thaw and cut meat into smaller pieces;
- Cook and prepare meat, prepare and mix ingredients according to the recipe;
- Prepare the doughs and ragouts;
- Set up, operate and change over production lines;
- Resolve minor faults yourself where possible; also perform basic maintenance tasks;
- Report deviations in the production process and production data;
- Keep the work area clean; carry out cleaning tasks on machines;
The work is very varied. Together with the team of operators and production staff you make sure the doughs and ragouts are ready on time, so that croquettes and bitterballen can be made in the next department. Because it’s one complete process, you’ll be deployed across different stations and tasks.
You’ll make our delicious snacks together with your colleagues! As an Operator you keep an eye on the production line and are responsible for producing our snacks in the right way.

At Van Geloven Tilburg — historically known as Ad van Geloven — you’ll join around 250 colleagues in our factory. Our Tilburg site is the world's largest croquette factory.
Besides our ragout products (croquettes and bitterballen), in Tilburg we also produce satay, spring rolls and chicken products. Did you know we fold our spring rolls by hand? We also pack our mini snack mixes, like Mora's Funmix, and the larger boxes for the foodservice sector in Tilburg. This is where our mini snack favourites from different factories come together.
Van Geloven has a long history in Tilburg that goes back to the early 1960s. Back then we started producing soups and ragout. In 1969 the first croquettes rolled off the production line.
Started as a family business, those values are still visible today. You'll notice an open, down-to-earth culture. Our CEO is approachable; his door is open to everyone.
We put our employees first. We also have an active staff association.
