History of Mora
The history of Mora began in 1960 in Maastricht, when Marcel Mourmans, working from his father's butcher's shop, delivered croquettes and spring rolls to various snack bars in the area. The success was unprecedented, and together with his wife, Robby Ramaekers, he founded the company Mora. From that moment on, Mora grew into a household name in the Netherlands.

That understanding was reinforced when Van Geloven, our parent company, acquired Mora in 2006. Since then we have continued to develop and have grown into a leading producer of snacks. Our new production facility, opened in autumn 2021, enables us to meet the growing demand for delicious snacks. We also supply outstanding cheese snacks to major customers, such as well-known roadside fast-food chains.
Innovative factory
In the innovative factory in Maastricht we produce a variety of tasty products, as varied as André Rieu’s repertoire. Think kroketten, bitterballen, frikandellen, smulrollen, bami and nasi snacks, and many more, including delicious meat-free options. With capacity for around 500 employees, there is always room for new talent to join our passionate team.
