Key Account Manager (Wholesalers) BE
As a Key Account Manager at Van Geloven, you are the driving force behind growth and partnerships with our wholesalers in Belgium.
You play a key role in achieving our commercial objectives by building sustainable relationships with key accounts, identifying market developments and translating these into strategic business plans that deliver growth and profitability.
You maintain contacts at all levels within the customer's organisation and safeguard Van Geloven's position with strong brands, including the well-known Mora.
Your responsibilities
- You develop and implement strategic account plans that have a direct impact on growth and profitability.
- You build long-term customer relationships and are the primary point of contact for key accounts at wholesalers.
- You analyse market data and customer insights and translate these into clear, evidence-based business decisions that are impact-driven.
- You drive distribution expansion and channel activation in close collaboration with category management.
- You lead contract and pricing negotiations and turn growth opportunities into concrete results.
- You work closely with internal teams to ensure optimal customer service.
- You closely monitor KPIs and take proactive measures when risks arise.
- You take ownership of the results and ensure that agreed plans are translated into concrete actions and outcomes.
As Key Account Manager you are agile, innovative and resilient. You spot opportunities in the market and are willing to introduce innovative initiatives. At the same time you consciously make strategic, data-driven choices for the sustainable success of both the customer and the organisation. You have the ability to influence stakeholders and mobilise internal teams towards shared goals. A self-starting, proactive approach is important to be successful.
Furthermore, you have:
- A bachelor's or master's degree in Sales, Business Administration or a similar field;
- At least 7 years' experience, or demonstrably equivalent experience, in key account management within FMCG, preferably in foodservice/wholesalers;
- Excellent negotiation skills and experience with contract management;
- Insight into marketing principles and how to apply them within key accounts;
- Fluent in Dutch and French, both spoken and written.
