Senior Master Planner

As Senior Master Planner you are responsible for translating the demand planning into an optimal deployment of production capacity for the medium and long term. You balance costs, inventory levels and our service levels. You work with our production sites within the Van Geloven Group and are crucial in supporting the S&OP process (Sales & Operations Planning) with incisive analyses. 

In this role you will have plenty of room to grow in preparing business cases for investments and in optimising supply chain processes. 

What will you do? 

• Preparing the Master Production Schedule (MPS) and the supply plan for our factories, taking available capacity into account;

• Identifying capacity bottlenecks: you don't just look at the numbers, you understand what a shortage of line capacity means for delivery reliability and proactively propose solutions; 

• Supporting the S&OP process by preparing in-depth capacity analyses and aligning them with the factories;

• Reporting to and liaising with the Management Team and the executive board; you prepare presentations in which you clearly explain your planning and scenarios;

• Managing and optimising the inventory strategy within the set KPIs;

• Professionalising our planning tools (SAP IBP) to take day-to-day operations to the next level. 

• You have a completed HBO or WO degree (e.g. Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Business Administration);

• You have at least 5 years' relevant work experience in FMCG; experience in the food sector is a strong plus;

• Analytically strong: you are able to combine complex data from various sources into a clear recommendation. You immediately understand what a change in demand will do to our stock over three months;

• Communicative & organisation-sensitive: you know how to gather information from production and how to present your plans convincingly to stakeholders at executive level;

• Systems: you have an excellent command of Excel. In addition, you preferably have some experience with planning software. You recognise yourself in our core values: Connection, Improvement and Responsibility.
