Dispatch Team Leader

As Dispatch Team Leader you are responsible for incoming logistics, storage and the timely supply of raw materials and packaging materials to the production department according to the FEFO principle. After production you ensure the correct handover of finished product to the central warehouse.
You lead the Dispatch team (about 20 people) and are responsible for cycle counts, inventory accuracy and correcting stock discrepancies. You are visible on the shop floor, give direct direction and know how to coach and motivate your team. You work with ERP systems (preferably SAP) and produce reports and analyses in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
 

Your tasks and responsibilities
•    Lead and coach the Dispatch team
•    Ensure a safe, efficient and cost-effective flow of materials
•    Plan, manage and monitor dispatch and shipping activities
•    Ensure timely delivery of materials to the production department
•    Monitor inventory accuracy, FEFO and cycle counts
•    Coordinate with planning, suppliers and transport partners
•    Drive process improvement and cost control
•    Work with ERP/SAP and report using Excel, Word and PowerPoint
 

•    You have relevant work experience in logistics, dispatch or supply chain
•    You have experience as a manager, team leader or supervisor (a plus)
•    You have experience with ERP systems (SAP is a plus)
•    You have good knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint
•    You have strong people-management skills
•    You are direct when needed and coach where possible
•    You have good communication and analytical skills
•    You have knowledge of logistics processes, inventory management and safety
•    You are analytically strong and communicative
•    You have a higher professional education level (HBO)
