As Senior Key Account Manager at Van Geloven you are the driving force behind growth and partnerships with our wholesalers in the Netherlands.

You play a key role in achieving our commercial objectives by building sustainable relationships with our trade partners, identifying market developments and translating these into strategic account plans that lead to growth and profitability.

You maintain contacts at all levels within the customer's organisation and safeguard Van Geloven's position as market leader.

Your responsibilities

  • You develop and implement strategic account plans that have a direct impact on growth and profitability;
  • You build long-term customer relationships and are the primary point of contact for key accounts at wholesalers;
  • You analyse market data and customer insights and translate these into clear, evidence-based and impact-driven business decisions;
  • You drive distribution expansion and channel activation in close collaboration with category management;
  • You lead contract and pricing negotiations and turn growth opportunities into concrete results;
  • You work closely with internal teams to ensure optimal customer service;
  • You closely monitor KPIs and proactively intervene where risks arise;
  • You take ownership of the results and ensure that agreed plans lead to concrete execution and outcomes.

As Senior Key Account Manager (Wholesalers) you are agile, innovative and resilient. You switch effortlessly between strategic discussions with executive management and the practical implementation of customer initiatives. You spot opportunities in the market and dare to introduce innovative initiatives. Thanks to your analytical and strategic skills you put the customer at the centre and translate complex data into commercial recommendations. In doing so you make deliberate, strategic, data-driven choices for the sustainable success of both the customer and the organisation. You have the persuasive ability to influence stakeholders and mobilise internal teams towards shared goals.

In addition, you have:

  • A completed bachelor's or master's degree in Sales, Business Administration or a similar field;
  • At least 7 years' or demonstrably equivalent work experience in key account management within FMCG, preferably in foodservice/wholesalers;
  • Strong project management skills; goal-oriented and organised;
  • Excellent negotiation skills and experience with contract management;
  • Knowledge of regulations and standards within the foodservice sector;
  • An understanding of marketing principles and how to apply them within key accounts.

In addition, we offer:

  • A starting salary between €5,400 and €6,400 gross per month for a full-time position, depending on your knowledge and work experience;
  • A lease car with an expense allowance;
  • 3% year-end bonus, 8% holiday allowance and a bonus component;
  • 40 days' leave per year (25 holiday days + 15 ATV for full-time employment);
