For our production site in Maastricht we are looking for an FS&Q Plant Manager. You will lead an experienced team of professionals and be responsible for Food Safety & Quality within the plant.
The team already has strong subject‑matter expertise. Therefore we are not looking for a manager who dives into every detail, but someone who provides direction, sets priorities, develops people and connects Food Safety & Quality, Operations and the rest of the organisation.
What you'll do?
• You will lead the FS&Q team and support colleagues in their development;
• You are responsible for ensuring Food Safety, Quality and compliance;
• You ensure successful audits, certifications and inspections;
• You manage KPIs, complaint reduction, CAPAs and continuous improvement;
• You work closely with Operations and other stakeholders;
• You are an active member of the Plant Leadership Team;
• You contribute to improvement projects and a strong Food Safety & Quality culture.
• You have a completed higher professional (hbo) or university (wo) degree, preferably in Food Science, Food Technology or a related discipline;
• You have experience in Food Safety & Quality within a production environment;
• You have extensive leadership experience;
• You have experience with quality management systems, audits and certifications;
• You have a coaching leadership style that emphasises trust and ownership;
• You have strong communication skills and experience in stakeholder management;
• You have a good command of Dutch and English.
What makes this role special?
You will join an experienced and knowledgeable team where the subject-matter expertise is already in place. This gives you the space to do what makes the difference as a leader: provide direction, develop people, set priorities and connect Food Safety & Quality with the rest of the organisation.
• An attractive salary of up to €101,646 gross per year based on a full-time contract, commensurate with your knowledge and experience;
• A key position within one of Van Geloven's largest production sites;
• An important role within the Plant Leadership Team;
• Ample scope for ownership and initiative;
• Attractive secondary employment benefits;
• 40 days off (25 holiday days and 15 ATV days on a full-time basis);
• Ample opportunities for personal and professional development.
With nearly 1,100 employees in the Netherlands and a turnover of around €400 million, Van Geloven is the market leader in frozen snacks and meal components for retail and foodservice.
