For our production site in Maastricht we are looking for an FS&Q Plant Manager. You lead an experienced team of professionals and are responsible for Food Safety & Quality within the plant.
The technical expertise is already well established within the team. You will not be expected to dive into every detail yourself; we are looking for someone who provides direction, sets priorities, develops people and connects Food Safety & Quality, Operations and the rest of the organisation.
What will you do?
• You lead the FS&Q team and support team members in their development;
• You are responsible for ensuring Food Safety, Quality and compliance;
• You ensure successful audits, certifications and inspections;
• You drive KPIs, complaint reduction, CAPAs and continuous improvement;
• You work closely with Operations and other stakeholders;
• You are an active member of the Plant Leadership Team;
• You contribute to improvement projects and a strong Food Safety & Quality culture.
• A completed higher professional (hbo) or university (wo) degree, preferably in Food Science, Food Technology or a related field;
• Experience in Food Safety & Quality within a production environment;
• Extensive leadership experience;
• Experience with quality management systems, audits and certifications;
• A coaching leadership style that emphasises trust and ownership;
• Strong communication skills and stakeholder management;
• Good command of Dutch and English.
What makes this role special?
You will join an experienced and knowledgeable team where the subject-matter expertise is already in place. This gives you the space to focus on what you as a leader do best: providing direction, developing people, setting priorities and bridging Food Safety & Quality with the rest of the organisation.
• An attractive gross salary of up to € 101.646 per year based on full-time employment, commensurate with your knowledge and experience;
• A key position within one of Van Geloven's largest production sites;
• An important role within the Plant Leadership Team;
• Plenty of scope for ownership and initiative;
• Attractive secondary benefits;
• 40 days off (25 annual leave days and 15 ATV days for full-time employees);
• Plenty of opportunities for personal and professional development.
With almost 1,100 employees in the Netherlands and a turnover of approximately EUR 400 million, Van Geloven is the market leader in frozen snacks and meal components for retail and foodservice. With strong brands such as Mora, Van Dobben, De Bourgondiër, Ad van Geloven, Van Lieshout Snacks and Souflesse, we are building on our ambitious growth plans every day.
