Maintenance Technician | 5-shift rota | Tilburg
- Working in 5 shifts
- Plenty of room for your ideas
- Varied role
Since 1969 we've been making kroketten in Tilburg and since 1972 saté. To supply our snacks across the Netherlands, the production lines must keep running smoothly.
As a breakdown and maintenance technician you feel at home in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same. That gives you energy! Together with your colleagues you make sure the machines run optimally and you carry out preventive maintenance. You handle electrical (E) and mechanical (W) faults within production, and you also repair and maintain machine modules in our workshop.
You also help improve the machines and production processes. You log your work in the maintenance system. You work with various colleagues and everyone helps one another.
The technical department consists of 15 enthusiastic technicians who like to get stuck in. They're very team‑oriented and sociable. They value cooperation and enjoy a good joke.
You're a great colleague, a tinkerer through and through, a hands-on doer — careful and solution-focused.
- You have a completed technical MBO level 3 or 4 qualification, in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, electrical engineering or a related technical subject.
- You have experience as a maintenance mechanic, breakdown mechanic, all-round mechanic, technician, shift mechanic, junior mechanic or service mechanic in a technical environment.
- You want to further develop in mechanical (W) and electrical (E) maintenance.
You'll be employed by us directly and we offer you a good salary between €3,800 - €5,000 including 28% shift allowance. With an average working week of 33.6 hours we strive for a pleasant work-life balance.

At Van Geloven Tilburg, historically known as Ad van Geloven, around 250 people work in our factory. Our Tilburg factory is the world’s largest croquette factory. We generate around €300 million in turnover each year.
Besides our ragout products (croquettes and bitterballen), in Tilburg we also produce satay, spring rolls and chicken products. Did you know we fold our spring rolls by hand? Our mini snack mixes, such as Mora’s Funmix, and the larger boxes for the hospitality sector are also packed in Tilburg. This is where our mini snack favourites from different factories come together.
Van Geloven has a long history in Tilburg that goes back to the early 1960s. At the time we started producing soups and ragout. In 1969 the first croquettes rolled off the production line.
Having started as a family business, our values are still visible today. We have an open, informal culture. Our CEO is accessible; his door is open to everyone.
We put our employees at the centre. We also have an active staff association.
