Staff Planner

As a Personnel Planner you make sure our production lines are well staffed. You keep an overview, act quickly and ensure the staff planning matches production needs. You don't just look at today and tomorrow, you also think ahead about future staffing.

Your tasks include:

• Drawing up an efficient staff schedule for our production lines, in coordination with the production planner and production manager;
• Holding daily talks with the production planner about the best deployment of staff;
• Serving as the main contact for our temp agencies and maintaining these relationships;
• Checking invoices and monitoring the budget for personnel costs;
• Coordinating with the training coordinator which staff are being trained and when they'll be available for the schedule;
• Looking ahead to future staffing within our three-shift system based on the expected production forecast;
• Implementing and further improving our new planning tool.

For this role you will keep an overview, work accurately and switch easily between different parties. You are a strong communicator and understand what is required in a production environment to ensure planning runs smoothly.

In addition, you have:

• A completed HBO degree;
• At least 5 years' experience as a staff planner or in a similar role;
• An excellent command of Dutch;
• A good command of English;
• Knowledge of another foreign language is a plus;
• Strong communication skills and organisational sensitivity;
• Attention to detail and a precise way of working.
• Good knowledge of Excel;
• Experience with Atrea is a plus;
• Experience with the planning programme Checks is preferred;

Van Geloven Helmond, also known as Van Lieshout Snackwaren, employs around 170 people. In Helmond we are the frikandel specialist of the Netherlands: we produce several types of frikandellen, as well as burgers and minced‑meat products for the professional market. About 1,200,000 frikandellen come off our automated lines every day. In Helmond we make over 50 different snacks. That's more than the offering in a typical chip shop. No two days are the same here.

Van Lieshout Snackwaren has been part of Van Geloven since 2002. The brand's long history is still clearly visible. Even though our production processes are largely automated, we still place great value on craftsmanship. This craftsmanship has already produced many hits for us, such as the famous BikFrik, made according to an authentic butcher's recipe.

Behind the factory there is a large car park; from there it's a short five-minute walk to the changing rooms. A bus runs from Helmond station to the factory and stops practically on the doorstep.
